How decks are made
Lexicue is a word-learning game. Players and our team make decks and learning paths on all kinds of subjects, including books, films, games and other fictional worlds.
Cards are written with the help of AI tools. We instruct them to describe characters, places and ideas in new words, and never to quote books, films, songs or other works. We take reasonable steps to avoid copying protected material, but AI can still get this wrong, so if you spot a card that copies protected material, please report it below and we'll fix or remove it.
Players who make or share a deck or path are responsible for what they type into it, and must only use material they have the right to use. Our terms of service set out these rules.
Trade marks and fan subjects
Decks and paths about a copyrighted work carry a notice saying so. Names of books, films, games, brands, characters and franchises are used only to say what a deck is about. Lexicue is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by the creators, owners or rights holders of those works or trade marks.
Reporting a copyright concern
If you own the rights to a work, or are authorised to act for the owner, and believe something on Lexicue copies it, please tell us:
- which work is yours (for example, the book, film or song);
- the deck, path or card you believe copies it (a link is best);
- your name and an email address we can reply to;
- that you make the report in good faith and own or are authorised to represent the rights.
Use the form below or email support@lexicue.com. A copyright report about a specific deck or path hides it from players straight away while we review it. We then restore, fix or remove it, and tell you what we did.
You can also use the form for anything inappropriate or wrong. For other concerns your email is optional.
If your content was removed
If something you made was hidden or removed and you believe that was a mistake, for example because you have permission to use the material, email support@lexicue.com with a link to it and why. We'll look at it again and restore it if the concern doesn't hold up.
Repeated problems
We may close the accounts of players who repeatedly share content that breaks other people's copyright or other rights.
